Caravan Awnings

From a full living-space awning to a simple sun canopy, we stock caravan awnings from every leading brand — Dorema, Camptech, Outdoor Revolution, Vango, Dometic, Telta and more — so you can find the right fit for how you actually tour.

Which type of caravan awning do you need?

Full awnings run the entire length of your caravan, floor to roof, giving you the most living and storage space of any awning type. They're the natural choice for long stays or seasonal pitches where extra room matters more than pitching speed.

Porch awnings cover a shorter section of the awning rail than a full awning, but that doesn't mean they're small — sizes range from around 200cm up to 500cm, so they can offer a genuinely spacious living area while still being quicker to pitch and pack away than a full-length awning.

Air (inflatable) awnings use air-filled beams instead of poles, so they inflate from a pump in minutes rather than requiring pole-by-pole assembly — a popular option whether you want a full or porch-style awning.

Sun canopies are the simplest and lightest option, sliding into your awning rail and supported by poles to give shade and basic rain cover while keeping a clear, open view of your surroundings.

Annexes attach to an existing full or porch awning to add extra space — commonly used as a sleeping area, storage room, or utility space without needing a bigger main awning.

Not sure what size you need? Check our Awning Size Guide before you buy — correct sizing is the single biggest factor in how well any awning fits and performs.

Caravan Awning FAQs

Measure your caravan's A-measurement — the length of the awning rail from the ground at the front to the ground at the back — then check it against the size chart for the specific awning you're considering, as sizing bands aren't identical across brands. Our Awning Size Guide walks through this step by step.

A full awning runs the entire length of your caravan, giving you the most living and storage space of any awning type. A porch awning covers a shorter section of the awning rail — but sizes range from around 200cm up to 500cm, so they can still offer a substantial amount of living space while pitching faster than a full awning.

Modern air awnings use pressurised, individually isolated air beams that hold up well to UK touring conditions, provided you check air pressure periodically on longer pitches. The main benefit over a poled frame is speed and ease of pitching, not a compromise on durability.

Not every awning is designed to take an annexe — check the individual product listing for a compatible connection point before buying if this matters to you. Annexes are commonly used as extra sleeping space, storage, or a utility room without needing a bigger main awning.
